ONLINE APPOINTMENTS
Setting an Appointment
Your Patient Home Page toolbar has an option for setting up in-person appointments as well as online doctor visits.
Set an appointment/Test allows you to book an in-person appointment from your computer whenever it's convenient
- and without having to play phone-tag with your doctor's office and struggle with his schedule and your own. As an
apporved password holder with an authorized Medical Record Number, you can request an appointment using the
online form and suggesting two dates that would work for you. You can check your doctors' calendar online before
you schedule to match your availability with hers. Using this feature alone will help your doctor's office become more
efficient and decrease your frustration by elimination needless telephone calls, voicemail messages, on-hold wait
time, blurry faxes, and no-shows due to confusion about appointments. Better still, the power shifts to you to request,
cancel, or re-schedule your appointments within a structured format your doctor's office responds to. It beats taking a
number and standing in line, doesn't it? Medical practices using DrIsOnline.com will naturally find more time slots
opening up as non-urgent cases are diverted to online care, so when you must go to doctor's office in person you
will have to wait less time and will get more focused attention.
Appointment Reminder
You will get automatic email reminder notices 72,48, and 24 hours prior to a scheduled in-person appointment
Appointment Confirmation
You can send a confirmation notice agreeing to a scheduled appointment time or date set by your doctor's office,
or you can reschedule for another day using set an appointment/Test.
Setting a Test or Lab Work
The same scheduling screens used for setting in-person appointments at your doctor's office can be used to set up
tests, laboratory work, or any other procedure your doctor orders for you. Just fill in the preferred dates for you.
There may be more steps to setting the appointment because the lab's calendar is not available to you.
